Ex 1D member Zayn has dislodged his former bandmates on top of the PH Charts to claim the number one post with "Pillow Talk".
On it's 7th week, Zayn's first single advanced two spots higher to finally overtake One Direction and Justin Bieber.
Incidentally, "Pillow" is also making history in the US Billboard charts as it debut at number one on it's first week, through high digital single sales, something that other 1D members have yet to accomplished. One Direction only reached as high as #2 in the US.

One Direction Makes History
One Direction is making a history this week as their latest single "History" tops the PH Chart. This is the 3rd straight single from their latest album "Made in the AM" to reach the top spot. "Perfect" opened 2016 at number one and stayed there for a week, while "Drag Me Down" topped the charts late 2015 for 2 straight weeks.
Justin Bieber ends his 10-week supremacy as "Love Yourself" bowed down to #2.
Justin may have also set the same record as 1D (All 3 singles reach #1). Unfortunately, Justin's first single from his latest "Purpose" album only managed to reach #2. The other number one from this comeback smash was "Sorry".

Justin Bieber tops PH Chart for a record 10 weeks
Justin Bieber is still the most popular artist in the Philippines this week as he posted his 10th week on top of the singles chart with "Love Yourself".
The last artist to reach the summit for 10 straight weeks was Ed Sheeran, whose signature love track "Thinking Out Loud", topped the chart almost exactly a year ago. Incidentally, "Love Yourself" is also co-written by Sheeran.
Justin also has the highest debut track of the week at #20, with "Company". Other artists with new entries for this week were Bailey May, Taylor Swift, The Vamps, Lawson and Fifth Harmony.
Meanwhile, Daryl Ong still holds the highest position among OPM artists as "Stay" moved up from #4 to #3 this week.

A Tight Race with One Direction, Zayn for Chart Supremacy
Zayn Malik and his former bandmates One Direction are on a tight race to reach the summit of the Philippines' Top 40 chart but had to settle for 2nd and 3rd places as Justin Bieber continue to hold the #1 position for week ending March 8, 2016.
Justin's "Love Yourself" is now spending it's 9th straight week at no.1. One Direction's "History" on the other hand is a non-mover at no. 2 and Zayn's "PillowTalk" moved up 1 notch from no. 4 to no. 3.

Daryl Ong, other OPM acts, invade Philippines' Top 40
Other new songs include: Marion's "Free Fall Into Love" at no. 30, Ebe Dancel's "Bawat Daan" at no. 33 and Yeng Constantino's "Ferris Wheel" at no. 36. JK Labajo's top 5 hit "Para Sayo" re enters the chart at no.34.
This is one of the best showing of OPM this year, with 17 of the top 40 tracks coming from Filipino artists, led by Callalily at no.7 with "The Bitter Song". The track enters the top 10 for the first time, from no. 11 to no. 7 over-all. It is the week's number one OPM song.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber spends his 8th week on top of the charts with "Love Yourself". One Direction's "History" and Charlie Puth's "One Call Away" also retains their top 2 and 3 finish this week.
