Five new OPM songs and one returnee, entered the Philippines' Top 40 chart for week ending March 1, 2016, with Daryl Ong appearing twice with his cover of "Basta't Kasama Kita" at no. 35 and "Stay" at no.14. "Stay" is also the highest charting new track in the charts. The song which is part of the soundtrack to the TV series "On The Wings Of Love" has recently reached no.1 on Itunes Philippines.
Other new songs include: Marion's "Free Fall Into Love" at no. 30, Ebe Dancel's "Bawat Daan" at no. 33 and Yeng Constantino's "Ferris Wheel" at no. 36. JK Labajo's top 5 hit "Para Sayo" re enters the chart at no.34.
This is one of the best showing of OPM this year, with 17 of the top 40 tracks coming from Filipino artists, led by Callalily at no.7 with "The Bitter Song". The track enters the top 10 for the first time, from no. 11 to no. 7 over-all. It is the week's number one OPM song.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber spends his 8th week on top of the charts with "Love Yourself". One Direction's "History" and Charlie Puth's "One Call Away" also retains their top 2 and 3 finish this week.
